Ken Schapira
Ken Schapira, the owner of North Standard Fabrication and Construction LLC, specializes in solving creative design problems. He has over 20 years of experience in design, fabrication, adaptive reuse, and residential and commercial restoration and construction. Ken's recent portfolio includes general contractor, construction, fabrication and millwork for some of Philadelphia's most acclaimed restaurants, including La Chinesca, Kensington Quarters, Provenance and others. Additionally, Ken has developed unique structures for art exhibitions at Icebox and Museum for Art in Wood.
Ken is the previous owner of Red Oak Development, a residential builder and developer with a reputation for distinctive, high quality projects. In 2019, Ken founded North Standard to focus on custom metal and wood fabrication and bespoke design services, including furniture, signage, fixtures, structural steel and catering primarily to commercial and industrial clients.
