SERVICES • Temporary mashrabiya inspired lath structure and suspended armature

The Mashrabiya Project at the Museum for Art in Wood is a community-centered exhibition exploring the traditional mashrabiya—a decorative architectural screen—and its contemporary interpretations in art and design. North Standard fabricated the free-standing workshop that allowed both participants & observers to experience first hand the process of wood-turning. Featuring transparent plasma-cut panels that mimic the Mashribiya and a sealed sliding door. Additionally, the team designed and installed custom armatures to showcase the artwork, blending functionality with the exhibit’s aesthetic vision.
